為配合推行復興中華文化運動，特精選故宮博物院珍藏歷代名瓷中之明代名瓷五種為圖案，籌印郵票一組。按明代官窯器頗盛，各朝皆有優美產品。名瓷以青花紋飾盛極一時，後由青花演進為鬭彩，大部分趨向民間通俗愛好，其紋飾既有幻想寫意，又有具體寫生，久負盛譽。
In resonse to President Chiang Kai-shek's call for the launching of Chinese Cultural Renaissance Campaign, a set of Famous Ancient Chinese Porcelain Postage Stamps was released for popular appreciation. Each stamp bears a masterwork of the Ming dynasty (1368-1643 A. D.) that has been selected from the collection of the National Palace Museum.
