With a view to arousing the public interest in our national music and for the purpose of promoting Chinese Cultural Renaissance Movement, a set of Chinese Music Postage Stamps, each with one Chinese musical instrument (Ti, Sheng, Cheng or P'i-P'a) and the manner in which it is played as the respective central design, was released on March 16, 1969.
