Situated in the subtropics and covered with vast forests, Taiwan is teeming with a great variety of wild animals. With a view to introducing the animals particular to this island and arousing to this island and arousing the public to the protection of wild-life, a set of Taiwan Animals Postage Stamps bearing four species of them as the designs was released on June 25, 1971.
